Damian's Infrastructure Blog

    My group and I were tested with a fascinating assignment; making a project based around Infrastructure. Under Infrastructure was many subtopics to choose from my group and I all picked one subtopic to do research on. The subtopics that we had to choose from included: An American perspective on infrastructure, A history overview on infrastructure, a world perspective, Important events National organizations, Local originations, Government laws on infrastructure, federal laws, and what’s going to happen in the next 10-20 years which was my part of the project that I choose to do. I was very interested in my part of the project because I wanted to know how everything will loom or what is speculated to happen in the next couple years and surely I was amazed for what was planned for the future holds building, highways, homes, everything you can think of is planned to be changed in the way that only some can imagine I love my part and I learned a lot one of the things I learned was that 65% of student in school right now are going to have jobs that haven’t even been created yet. Everyone in my group and in all the groups worked really hard the amount of effort and interest coming from each group’s presentation was astounding the interviews and the information given was great. After the project was announced we all got to work I was one of the last people to pick a topic because I was working but when I got home, I saw the subtopics that were left, and it was perfect because I was so interested in what was going to happen my group really did do an amazing job, they all covered their subtopic perfectly. My group ended up making a word document of what everyone’s task was for this project on infrastructure, so it helped me out a bunch, so I wasn’t lost when I was ready to start my research. I started on my research and I was so entertained and fascinated by what I was learning it felt like 30 minutes, but it had really been 2 hours and I was done with my section. My research was pretty simple I went on various websites and learned little parts from each website I had learned that Joe Biden passed a bill for infrastructure that was going to give 1 trillion dollars towards highways and railroads and many other things that fall under infrastructure. I was extremely happy of what I had done I had 3 slides because all my classmates were doing 2-3 the first slide I did was introducing what infrastructure is a little bit and the second slide was a couple things I had learned and what is going to happen in the next 10-20 years and the third slide was a short 5 minute video showing what was planned to happen in the next 10-20 years I decided to put a video because I am a visual learner like most people I would say so to help people understand a little bit better I found a great video showing how crop machines were going to work and how building styles were going to change but my favorite one because I hate traffic on the highways so I am excited to see how they change the highways and make them more efficient for traffic in the next couple years my group was the last ones to present.

All my group members had extremely fascinating meetings, one of the better ones was by Dhamar Espinosa she did an FPL interview, truly they were generally extraordinary. Moving onto the Second The second group had the topic gender inequality for them it was the same as us everyone had a subtopic and you had to choose what you wanted this group had an outstanding presentation all the details, they gave were very educating and I liked this topic because I feel strongly about it we are all equal nobody should be looked at differently because they are a man or a women.

Group 3 were the first ones to present if I am not wrong and the topic, they had to do research on was climate change. Their presentation was honestly my favorite other than my groups they were all so well spoken, and the details were basic but so informational. They gave many facts how climate change is very bad for humans and wildlife and how it is affecting us today I loved the picture they used because it really showed you how bad it is, and something must change this group outdid themselves and I am excited to see what topic they get next so they can inform us as they did for this project.

Overall, all of the groups did a amazing job in this project about presenting your topic. Every group came up with great ideas to show the other groups their information on the topic. Since the last project I think every group has stepped up their game everyone seems more comfortable and determined. Once again, this class has some amazing presenters in every group ad I am excited to see what’s next and see everyone get better and better at presenting the topics they must do research on. My Final thought on my part I was happy to get the topic that I choose it was a great learning experience for me I am glad that I have knowledge on all the topics that we learned about especially what is going to happen in the next couple years like how the roads and buildings and highways and everything you can think of when it comes to infrastructure is going to change for the better. I am happy we got such a cool professor with this class none of the topics are ever boring and we are learning things we should know it is a win fun topics and great research from everyone in the class all around a great performance.
